Thomas Baker is production designer and creator of environments for television, corporate & special events, retail, exhibits, concerts, theatricals & more. Thirteen of Mr. Baker's eighteen years in the profession have been based in New York City. He founded Baker Brothers Creative in 2004 as an extension of his production design career and a birthplace for even more varied projects, after leaving a long-standing position as Senior Designer for Hotopp Associates Limited.

For 6 years he designed The Cam Nealy Foundation's annual event Comics Come Home hosted by Denis Leary, featuring comedians Eddie Brill, Lenny Clarke, Dane Cook, Janeane Garafalo , Jay Mohr, Colin Quinn , Steven Wright and more. He has designed television environments for ESPN, ABC Sports, CNBC, CBS Sports, PBS, Fox News, Comedy Central, and the Discovery Channel. Designs for Live Stage include: the inaugural performances at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (featuring Rita Moreno, Savion Glover, more) and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia (featuring Sir Elton John), Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Tour in Egypt and India, The Hunchback of Notre Dame for Walt Disney’s MGM Studios, and the Big Apple Circus. Theatricals include BEAT: A Subway Cop's Comedy (The Kaufmann Theatre) starring John DiResta and several national tours for New York's TheatreworksUSA. From the artist: "Many years ago I worked for a Broadway designer who held that 'If your pencil's not moving, you're not really thinking'. I think he meant "solving", but no matter…the notion is one of the few rules of thumb I've found that pass the test of time - even though no one uses a pencil nowadays, and much work is accomplished nonetheless. The point is - design is work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a hack, a charlatan or a flake at best. I mean it! Design is beautiful, saturating and consummately satisfying…work."
